Their number one requirement from a phono stage is that it’s quiet i.e. no hum or white noise audible. The iFi Audio iPhono pass this test with flying colours. They also like the ability to customise the iFi iPhono to your particular cartridge and the fact that there’s trickle down technology in the iPhono from AMR’s top of the range $12,000 Reference PH-77 phonostage.
