T he £99 Bose Sounlink Micro is a waterproof portable Bluetooth speaker that is small enough to clip on to your belt or bicycle handlebars. It features a tear-resistant silicone strap, custom-designed transducer and silicone passive radiators. The SoundLink Micro’s exterior is constructed from silicone rubber with minimal seams and gaps and scratch resistance. The Bose Connect app allows you to control your SoundLink Micro speaker’s Bluetooth connections easily. Two SoundLink Micro speakers can be connected together in Party Mode for power or Stereo Mode.

T he Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus, at £279,95, is the bigger brother of the Soundlink Revolve and is to date Bose's best-performing portable Bluetooth speaker. Like the Revolve, the Revolve+ is a 360 degrees speaker so can be placed in the centre of the room to give everyone the same experience. If placed near a wall the sound will radiate and reflect around the room. The tapered cylindrical shape with a flexible handle makes this wireless speaker easy to grab and go. Its durable aluminium body provides worry-free protection, and its water-resistant design lets you keep the party going, even if it starts to rain. The rechargeable, lithium-ion battery plays up to 16 hours, for full-day listening. Voice prompts talk you through wireless Bluetooth pairing, and you can easily take calls with the built-in speakerphone. You can even access Siri or Google Now right from your speaker. Pair two SoundLink Revolve speakers in Party Mode for a louder sound, or put them into Stereo Mode.

T he Bose Soundlink Revolve, at £199, is a portable Bluetooth Speaker. There are two Soundlink Revolves, the Revolve and the bigger and more powerful Revolve+. Bose claims that these Revolves are their best Bluetooth speakers. The Revolve in the name gives away the fact that they're engineered with true omnidirectional sound for complete 360 degree coverage. Place them in the middle of the room and the speakers spread the sound in all directions, giving everyone the same experience. Set near a wall and sound will radiate and reflect around the room, offering an immersive experience. The tapered cylindrical shape makes this wireless speaker easy to grab and go. I n a major announcement, Denon and Marantz brands have introduced many new additions to their higher end AVRs including the introduction of multi-room and online technology from its HEOS platform Denon AVR models getting the new functionality include the 4300H and 6300H. Launching in October 2016, the 4300H will have integrated HEOS functionality providing access to Spotify, Soundcloud, TuneIn, Deezer, Tidal, Napster and compatibility with other HEOS products. The unit will also have Wi-Fi 2.4 & 5 GHz and Bluetooth built-in, 9x 200W amp with 11.2 processing, DDSC-HD with AL24 Processing Plus and new high performance 192kHz/32bit DAC. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, AURO 3D (upgrade) are also on board and the machine boasts 7+1 HDMI with 4K 60Hz pass through (HDCP2.2), triple HDMI outputs with multi-source/multi-zone and AudysseyMultEQ XT32/LFC partnered by a new Audyssey App. The 6300H takes things up a notch with the same HEOS in-built capabilities, connectivity, 3D audio, connectivity suite and Audyssey tech, but over 11x 20W with 11.2 proc. and 13.2 pre-out, 4K 60Hz Scaling and 1080p Scaling.

B &W and Burberry have launched an exclusive gold-finish edition of Bowers & Wilkins' T7 compact 'pick-up-and-play' wireless speaker. High-resolution audio files can be streamed direct from a computer, tablet or mobile phone using Bluetooth aptX – without the need for Wi-Fi.
