Quad Launch The Z Series Speaker Range
T he Quad Z Series speakers have been seen at shows in the UK since Windsor 2015 and are now officially launched. The Quad Z series sits above the Quad S Series but below the Quad ESL models. All models combine a ribbon tweeter with Kevlar cone drivers. There are four models in the Quad Z Series - two stand mount models the Z-1 (pictured) and the Z-2 and two floor standers the Z-3 and Z-4. The Z-1 stands 383mm high and incorporates a 150mm bass/mid cone, while the larger Z-2 uses a 175mm bass/mid cone. The two floorstanders are three-way speaker designs, coupling a 150mm midrange driver with two 175mm bass drivers in the Z-3, and three 165mm bass drivers in the Z-4. Prices are below but are exactly what we were told at the Bristol HiFi Show 2016 - £1,200 to £3,200

T he Quad Artera One offers, in the one box, an Integrated Amp, Slot loading CD Player, USB DAC And Digital Music Streamer. Quad haven't finalised the price currently, but at the recent Bristol HiFi Show 2016, they said they're looking for £2,000 "ish", "ish" being the operative idea here as full manufacturing costs have yet to be realised.

Q uad have revealed the VA-One (£1,299.95) a new valve integrated amp and USB DAC. The VA-One is being launched at the Headroom show 2016. Visually very similar to the Quad PA-One, a headphone amp and USB DAC, the VA-One uses a classic Quad approach to valve technology and sound, but brings this technology right into the modern era by including digital, USB and Bluetooth connections to the VA-One integrated amp along with the conventional analogue inputs.

Quad Artera Play And Stereo Power Amp - More Info From Audio Affair
A udio Affair offer more on the Quad Artera Play (CD Player, USB DAC and Pre-amp) and the Artera Stereo (Power Amp) in a short piece which goes back to the start-up year of Quad – 1949 and goes forward from 1949 to the present (going through many Quad historic products) to finally arrive at Artera. They stress how Artera is based on a founding principle of Quad – Current dumping (combining the best of class A and class B amplification in one amp) and go on to look at the features and strengths of the two boxes the Play and the Stereo that ( currently) comprise Artera.

T he Quad S Series Speaker range is made up of five models. There are two stand mounted speakers (The S-1 (pictured) and S-2), two floor standing speakers (The S-4 and S-5) and a centre speaker for home cinema systems (The S-C). Each model combines advanced Kevlar-coned bass/midrange drivers with a specially designed ribbon tweeter.

Quad Reveal The Artera CD Player And Artera Power Amp
Q uad have revealed Artera a new range of HiFi Separates at the Bristol HiFi Show 2015. In the photo above is the Artera CD Player a slot loading player with variable output (no preamp necessary) expected to retail in the UK at £1,400. Underneath the Artera CD Player is the Arteria power amp. Quite a small box by power amp standards but still capable of 140 watts per channel. The Quad Artera power amp is expected to retail at £1,500 when available later in the first part of 2015.
