T he full Pro-Ject Box Design DS2 Line was first seen in February 2017 at the Bristol HiFi Show. Since then Pro-Ject have busily been getting each model in the range into production. They are now happy to announce that a nine-strong range of products is available across the UK.

P ro-Ject has finally released the VT-E. This was first shown at CES 2016 and caused quite a lot of tongues to wag as it could be hung vertically from the wall. The VTE has its own record clamp so you don't need to worry about your vinyl going rollies. There will also be a left handed version.

T he £799 Pro-Ject Classic Turntable is a celebratory belt driven turntable for Pro-Ject's 25th Birthday and was first seen at the Munich High End HiFi Show 2016. The Pro-Ject Classic takes the vintage aesthetic "frame" design of those iconic turntables from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s but adds modern technology to deliver an exciting sound in an attractive and easy to set up package. The Classic offers both 33 1/3 rpm and 45 rpm replay via a manual speed change.

2 016 sees Pro-Ject start the year with the new 2 Xperience SB S-Shape turntable (Yours for £1,299.00). 2015 began in a similar manner with the announcement of the original 2 Xperience SB. The new 2 Xperience SB S-Shape has all the benefits of the 2 Xperience SB, except that the SB S-Shape turntable replaces the 9CC Evolution tonearm with a new aluminium S-Shape design. This alternative model (the SB S-Shape) is for audio fans who love to tweak, easily accommodating multiple high-end head shell and cartridge combinations. For instance a wide variety of Pro-Ject Audio Systems and Ortofon headshells are fully compatible with the new S-Shape tonearm.

P ro-Ject Audio Systems new Essential II Digital turntable is based on the existing Essential II turntable. The Essential II Digital has two internally-grounded Line Level outputs – these are an RCA to Mini-Jack output and a standard RCA output . Cables for both these outputs are included. The novel output in the Essential II Digital is a 24-bit/96kHz optical output. This optical output can be used to connect the Essential II Digital to a soundbar, DAC, AV amp or any other digital platform.
